What Would Happen?
Now that you’ve read and thought about the Ada Limón poem, have a go at writing a poem made up of questions. This can be as broad as you like – use her work as an example, and follow the way she asks a series of ‘what would happen if’ questions, but make these questions about anything you want. The bigger and bolder the better.
While you’re writing your list, have a think about what you’re ‘saying’ – underneath Limón’s poem, there are answers – she is triumphant, joyful. What kind of tone do you want your questions to strike?
